My name is Darrian Gerard and I am a singer/songwriter from a small town in British Columbia, Canada. I play a few instruments, write the odd sad song, dance around to good tunes, and enjoy diving exponentially deep into each artist I listen to. Guitar is my main choice, but I also play bass, piano, and drums. I am heavily influenced by a few artists that have shaped me into the musician I am today. Those artists are Avril Lavigne, blink-182, Taylor Swift, Alanis Morissette, and Angels & Airwaves.

At the ripe age of 7 years old, I begged my parents to buy me a guitar. A few days, and a 20 dollar auction guitar later, I started playing the thing that makes me feel the most myself. And I haven’t stopped. My beloved Dalmatian passed away shortly after I started learning guitar which was the trigger to writing my first song. I then started writing songs about imaginary boys who didn’t treat me right when I was 8. From there, I have used the catharsis of writing lyrics as a tool to express my deepest emotions, bringing up things that should stay in the past (that I always keep bringing up), and just how I’ve come to learn how the world works; sometimes in cruel ways I might add.

Currently, I am independently writing, recording, and producing in my home studio (basement) and releasing singles periodically. I run a YouTube channel with over 2000 subscribers where I post covers weekly, ranging from Halsey to Foo Fighters. I also dabble in the odd collaboration when I feel I have the time. Live performances are at an indefinite halt, but I am eager to start performing for people, hopefully in the near future.
